Wednesday, November 5 is "Take Your Kid to Work Day." Period 4 students who are not participating should bring their class novel to work on their independent reading project.
English 10: Read to page 46 Between Shades of Gray. Handed out letter assignment and scoring guide.
English 9 Honors: Put the work that we have completed (All Summer in a Day, The Possibility of Evil, and War) in portfolios. Students were assigned to read the first nineteen chapters of the class novel: Between Shades of Gray by November 4. Discuss first 75 pages of Between Shades of Gray. For November 13, read to the end of Chapter 38. Begin to work on letter assignment by collecting quotations.
English 9: Practice identifying and naming verbs for the third time on November 3 for Period 4 and November 4 for Period 8. The test on verbs is November 7 for Period 4 and November 6 for Period 8. Read How to Tell Renata and work on venn diagram. Bring independent reading novel to class every day.
English 8: We will learn about sentence fragments, run-on sentences and comma splice errors. We will do several practice activities. Period 1 and 6 read Thank You Ma'am. Bring independent reading novel to class every day.
