English 10: Quiz on War on October 30. Complete Theme Collage for the short story—War and The Sniper—to hand in by the end of class October 31.
English 9 Honors: Complete Theme Collage for the short story—War—to hand in at the end of class October 31. Discuss letter assignment and project, and sign out class novels. Read to at least page 75 for November 4.
English 9: Period 8 will hand in descriptive paragraphs on October 28. Students will do grammar work—naming and identifying verbs, and then recognizing and correcting run-on sentences using coordinating conjunctions. Students will do verb and sentence grammar work. Period 8 will do a predicting exercise. Both classes will also work on the skill of inference. Remember to bring your independent reading novels each class!
